Recommended Notions & Accessories:

While you do not necessarily need every item below, it is a good solid guide for some of the more basic items you need to make CuddleBuns™ diapers, and most other sewing projects. Be sure and visit our official sister-site, SewShoppe, for all your notion needs!

• Olfa or other brand cutting mat, the largest you can accomodate.
• Olfa ergonomic 45mm rotary cutter with safety locking mechanism (BE CAREFUL, all rotary blades are dangerously sharp!).
• Olfa rotary blade sharpener (highly recommended and money-saving item, especialy for wahms!)
• A walking foot.
• Thread/seam ripper.
• Machine oil, if you do not have oil-impregnanted parts in your machine.
• Water- and/or air-erasable marking pens.
• Contact paper (or professional lamination, for pattern protection).
• Permanent fabric marker for "factory seconds", if you are interested in becoming licensed.
• Cone thread adaptor (for use with large spools of thread, or for converting Maxilock serger thread to sewing machine thread).
• Premium quality straight pins. I prefer large flower-tipped ones for increased visibility. As a mother of small children, I won't use anything else -- when one drops, you see it!
• Gingher shears, and thread nippers. (yes, Gingher really is the best.)
• Long needle-nosed tweezers.
• Cone thread racks.
• Snap Source snap setter.
